Barra Grande belongs to the municipality of Maraú-BA, located in Costa do Dendê, 170 km south of Salvador and 120 km north of Ilhéus.

Arriving in Salvador, one option is to take the Ferry Boat, cross the Baía de Todos os Santos to the Bom Despacho terminal, where you will travel to Camamu, by car, van or bus.

Another option is a direct flight with flights from Salvador to Barra Grande by Voe Abaete.

There are two weekly flights, on Thursdays and Sundays, lasting 30 minutes.

BUS COMPANIES THAT MAKE THE ROUTE FROM SALVADOR TO CAMAMU:

- Águia Branca bus (73) 3255 – 1823 and Cidade do Sol bus (73) 3255 – 2443.

Arriving in Camamu, go to Camamu Adventure ( 73 ) 3255 – 2138 – to make the crossing by speedboat – a 30-minute journey, every hour, through Camamu Bay, the third largest in Brazil.

You also have the option to drive to Barra Grande, where you will travel 110 km, 65 km on the BA-001 and 45 km on a dirt road on the BR-030.

ILHÉUS AIRPORT (IOS) + 55 (73) 3234 – 4000

This is the most recommended airport because, in addition to being the fastest route, it is also the closest to the Maraú Peninsula, with several daily flights departing from various locations in the country.

Arriving in Ilhéus, you have the option of coming by car covering a stretch of 120 km, 75 km of asphalt on the BA-001 and 45 km of dirt road on the BR-030 (however, in most cases, it is not necessary to a traced car). It is possible to rent a car at the airport itself or come by taxi, previously scheduled – reserved, which will be waiting for you when your flight arrives.
